National Youth Project was
created by Dr. S.N. Subba Rao a living true Gandhian with the
following objectives:-

Harmony, among all religions, castes, languages, ethnic groups.

Jobs to every hand so that no
body is left poor.
-
Eradication of evils like
smoking, drinking, drugs etc, so that people are healthy
Eradication of corruption
He strongly believed that it is the youth who can bring
changes and improvement in the society . So he had launched
movement to bring together the youths from various parts of
the country belonging to various castes and faith and
sensitize then to create a new society which is really secular
, disciplined and filled with nationalist spirit.
NYP has organized more than 400 youth camps in India and
abroad with a view to integrate mind and heart of thousands of
youngsters drawn from different parts of India. “Anugraha
Drishtidaan” organized youth camp in collaboration with NYP
from 23rd April to 30th April 2008 at “Panchvati” Rishikesh
Uttrakhand. 290 boys and girls from 19 states participated in
the programme representing Assam, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, Delhi,
Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram,
Orissa, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar
Pradesh, West Bengal. One week programme included flag
salutation, everyday, early in the morning, shram
daan, language classes, group discussion, community games,
peace march, all religion prayers and cultural programmes. We
also organized their visits to Shatrughan Ghat, Triveni
Ghat, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy, Mussorie, ONGC
Museum Dehradoon, Har Ki Pauri,Haridwar. Daily shramdan,
clearing of ghats and banks of Ganga, peace march, cultural
programmes from each state inspired thousand of people who saw
these youths working with great enthusiasm and unity, thus
camp was a grand success.
Aanugraha Draistidaan is presently working in
11 states of India. During the last 6 years we have organized
212 camps covering about 109082 patients. We had
given medicines in OPD to 33536 patients.34046
patients suffering from low vision were given spectacles.Out
of 17000 patients idenitified as suffering from
cataract, 14912 patients were successfully operated
upon for cataract .Al most all the eye camps were organized in
the rural and back ward areas.
Our future plans and activities will include
-
Organizing about 50 eye screening camps each
year.

Screening and examing about 30,000 people
each year to detect if they have any eye problem .
-
To provide medicines to about 20,000 patients
suffering from eye ailments.
-
To provide spectacles to about 15,000
patients suffering from low vision each year.
-
Screening and examine about 50000 students
each year to detect weather they have any physical ailment
and their growth is normal under its Baal Arogya Project
-
Focus and areas of our activities will remain
rural and back ward and we plan to identify and arrange for
cataract operations of about 1000 patients in the state of
Assam in the course of time

To plan to create eye bank to cater services
in the backward area

To work for involving the community and
corporate sector in the mission of avoidable blindness
