World Sight Day
(WSD) is an international day of awareness, held annually on
the second Thursday of October to focus attention on the
global issue of avoidable blindness and visual impairment.
WSD is
coordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of
Blindness (IAPB) as part of “VISION 2020: The Right to Sight”.
VISION 2020 is the global initiative for the elimination of
avoidable blindness, coordinated jointly by the World Health
Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for the
Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).

Our
Mission
To provide quality and affordable services both preventive and
curative to people suffering from eye ailments. We shall also
make sincere efforts to sensitize and mobilze all concerned to
participate and contribute to the noble cause of eliminating
avoidable blindness with special care to poor, neglected,
women and student.

Our Future Plans
While
identifying the target group, priority will be
given to those in the rural' and backward
areas and living below the poverty line.
To sensitize District authorities, local
community and corporate functioning in that
area and to seek their support and
involvement.
Eye, camps will also be organized for the
community as per the requirement of any
corporate. |

Encouraged and touched by the noble work being
done by "Anugraha" in the rural and backward
areas for the poor and needy old persons, we
formulated plans to organize about 40 Eve
Camps during this year 2009-10 We once again
approach you to seek your support,
encouragement and good-wishes for Anugraha
Drishtidaan.
